Jackson County is home to the first and only fly fishing trail in the United States. The county features some of the best fly fishing in all of the Smoky Mountains. The trail takes you to 15 spots where you are likely to catch brook, brown and rainbow trout.
One of the most popular spots is the delayed harvest section of the Tuckasegee River. There are over 49,000 trout stocked within a 6 miles radius on an annual basis. Smoky Mountain Getaways offers many cabins along this stretch of river. Visit our website www.smokymtngetaways.net to inquire!
Below is a great video spotlighting the fly fishing trail. Alex Bell runs AB's Fly Fishing Guide Service and is highly recommended.
